Justin R. Cockrell

Justin R. Cockrell is an associate with Miller, Balis & O’Neil, P.C., where he represents natural gas and public power entities, particularly municipal systems, electric cooperatives, and related trade associations in energy regulatory and transactional matters. Since joining the firm in 2007, his practice has focused on proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and transactions related to the financing and acquisition of energy projects. In addition, Mr. Cockrell has represented clients in administrative cases and rulemaking proceedings before the Department of Energy and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Mr. Cockrell is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia and Virginia. He is a graduate of Boston University (B.A., magna cum laude, 2002) and the George Washington University Law School (J.D., with honors, 2007).
